1939 ad for the SP-200 Super Pro The Hammarlund Super Pro was an American-made radiocommunications receiver. The classic SP-600 is a government/military grade VLF/LF/MF/HF/VHF receiver built to contract specifications by Hammarlund, which is now out of business. This is due to the detector's inability to cleanly demodulate the higher amplitude levels. The Hammarlund SP-600 JX-17 is an example of a laboratory-grade HF receiver. Also there is the usual increase in audio distortion as the modulation percentage increases. The line - up receiver ( diversity cabinet ) includes two Hammarlund Model SP600 - JX - 17 Receivers with the AN / URA8B Audio Frequency - Shift Converter. Notes: Maximum i-f bandwidth is about 13 kHz -6 dB.ĪM distortion numbers show the somewhat typical increase at lower audio frequencies - most often caused by the low audio frequencies riding on the AGC line. 100 Hz 200 Hz 400 Hz 600 Hz 800 Hz 1 kHz 2 kHz 3 kHz 4 kHz 5 kHz 6 kHz FRC ( Hammarlund Model SP - 600 - J ) to provide more adequate fusing of the power transformer and to provide better accessibility to the B minus fuse.
